Biker B-Movies: The Glory Stompers

Why do Johnny and the Black Rebels get all the credit? This week on “Biker B-Movies,” I present you The Glory Stompers, a 1967 flick best described as a mash-up of The Warriors and The Wild One, only slightly more disappointing than it sounds like it’ll be. I mean, this movie desperately wants to be like Marlon. The motorcycle gang leader is even named Chino (oooooooh, just like Chino in The Wild One!). But the movie does have it’s merits. It’s a fun movie with a few good brawls, and it has Dennis Hopper as a biker even before Easy Rider. It’s not long, under an hour and a half, and it features early punk that sounds sometimes eerily like early Metallica (is that just me?). Check it out in one piece on YouTube. Isn’t YouTube great?!
