I missed me.
Howdy folks! It’s been a month and a half since I’ve posted, and that could very well be because I have had absolutely nothing of interest to tell you. But now I do.
-This time of year is characterized by motorcycle shows. Here are some highlights.
-Suzuki, though pretty much
calling off automotive works, is still going to be producing motorcycles. There are some new
bikes (and a new Burgman!) and a buncha carryovers.
-Honda is continuing to stack the
middleweight arena with a bunch of 500s and 700s. Be on the lookout for a naked
sometime in the future. I can feel in my bones that Honda doesn’t like Triumph’s
solid grip on the segment.
-Indoor swap meets sometimes
accompany the custom shows. Attached are some photos from the Chicago Custom
Show out at Pheasant Run in West Chicago- including the second time I’ve seen
the Obama-bike.
-Good news for vintage Missouri fans! Bike nights resume 4
March at Flying Tiger Motorcycles in
Maplewood, MO (just outside of St. Louis). Weather permitting, you’ll catch me
there. Hopefully the snowfall that Missouri’s seen over the last few days is
good and gone by then. Here's The Tiger Facebook page.
That’s all I got for now. See you ‘round, be safe, and happy
trails.
