Blowing Off the Dust

I'll admit it, Cats and Kitties, I've been neglecting a lot of things. My bike has been in a shop for months, I haven't seen my girlfriend in weeks, and I haven't written here for what feels like forever. To be perfectly honest folks, I've been depressed. I'm working on learning Arabic through a military program-thing, and if there's one thing that doesn't give you its free time. So, what am I missing?

-June first was the Queens City MvR event. If you can make it out there next year, do it. Queen City has a very, very different feel from other MvR events. The blue collar vibe of Cincinnati seeps into the builds there. You won't find a ridiculous amount of bought bikes. It's a lot of people taking their bikes and making them something better. A very good spirit to it all.

-This weekend, the biggest MvR event ever kicks off! It's MvR Chicago! Wish I could be there. All the standard moto show fare, with music by Rev Horton Heat, Lee Rocker, JD McPherson and others plus a pin-up show. We're moving off the streets and into the Aragon Ballroom (oooh, fan-shay). Check it out. 40 bucks will get you and your bike everywhere Saturday. Friday before the show is the Ace Motorcycle and Scooter Punch-Up followed by the Soul All Nighter at the Late Bar, and Thursday is the VIP Party. 70 bones for the whole shebang. Wow, Ton Up. Y'all are getting ritzy!
